In addition, the gist of the configuration of the method for manufacturing the floor covering is as follows:
A large number of rod-shaped strips 3 are joined adjacently with heat-melting threads 5 to form a floor covering main body 2, and after applying an adhesive to the back side of the floor covering main body 2 and adhering the lining 4, the floor covering The heat-melting threads 5 exposed on the surface side of the floor covering body 2 are melted by a heating means, and then the heat-melting threads 5 remaining on the surface side of the floor covering body 2 are removed by a removing means. The purpose is to manufacture a floor covering in which the heat-melting yarn 5 is not exposed on the side.

Next, a synthetic rubber adhesive is applied to the back side of the floor covering main body 2, and a lining 4 made of cloth such as linen cut to the same size as the floor covering main body 2 is adhered thereto. As a result, as shown in FIG.
A bare floor covering is formed.

Thereafter, steam at about 90° C. is blown onto the surface side of the floor covering formed as described above to melt the heat-melting threads 5 exposed on the surface side of the floor covering. In this case, since the strips 3 are bonded to the lining 4 with a synthetic rubber adhesive, the strips 3 do not separate from the lining 4. Furthermore, the heat-melting threads 5 remaining on the surface side of the floor covering are removed using a removing means such as a brush. Then, post-treatment such as applying varnish to the surface side of the floor covering body 2 is performed.

Further, in the above embodiment, steam was used as a heating means for melting the heat-fusible thread 5, but this heating means is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, steam may be used by moist heating with hot water, The heat-melting yarn 5 may be melted with hot air or the like. In short, any heating means that can melt the heat-melting thread 5 may be used, and the heating temperature may be adjusted as appropriate depending on the type of the heat-melting thread 5.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the present invention provides a floor covering consisting of a floor covering body in which a large number of bar-shaped strips are connected adjacently with threads, and a lining adhered to the back side of the floor covering body. The threads are made of heat-melting threads, and are formed by melting the heat-melting threads without exposing the heat-melting threads on the surface side of the floor covering body. When used by laying it on the floor, the threads do not come into contact with people's skin and cause discomfort, unlike in the past, and the appearance is also good, which is a desirable effect.
