However, the adhesiveness to the surface of the inorganic compound mainly composed of metal is still insufficient, and epoxy resin is dominant in this field. Therefore, an aqueous polyurethane dispersion using an epoxy resin having both the adhesiveness of the epoxy resin and the excellent mechanical properties of the polyurethane resin has been investigated.

Examples of the organic amine compound used in the present invention include ethylenediamine, 1,2-propanediamine, 1,6-hexamethylenediamine, piperazine,
2-methylpiperazine, 2,5-dimethylpiperazine,
Diamines such as isophoronediamine, 4,4′-dicyclohexylmethanediamine, 3,3′-dimethyl-4,4′-dicyclohexylmethanediamine, 1,4-cyclohexanediamine; diethylenetriamine, dipropylenetriamine, triethylenetetramine, etc. Examples include polyamines; hydrazines, ammonia, and the like.
Further, monoamine compounds having an active primary amino group which reacts with a glycidyl group to form a secondary amino compound, for example, alkylamines such as ethylamine, propylamine and butylamine, monoethanolamine, 2-amino1-
Examples include alkanolamines such as propanol, 2-amino-1-butanol, 2-amino2-methyl-1-propanol, and tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane, which may be used alone or in combination. . The reaction normally proceeds relatively quickly with exotherm. Therefore, it is generally obtained by slowly dropping an epoxy resin alone or an organic solvent solution having at least two oxirane rings in the molecule into an organic solvent solution containing a polyamine compound. An amino group-terminated epoxy resin is obtained by reacting an epoxy resin having at least two oxirane rings in the molecule with an organic amine compound.
In this case, the organic amine compound needs to be in excess of the stoichiometric amount, and the ratio of the epoxy resin and the organic amine compound is the epoxy group / amino group equivalent ratio, epoxy group / amino group = 1 / 1.2. ~ 1 / 2.0 is preferable. 1/1.
When the number of amino groups is less than 2, the molecular weight of the chain extender to be produced tends to be too large, and when the number of amino groups is more than 1 / 2.0, unreacted amine is produced, which is not preferable.

Examples of such hydrophilic organic solvents include alcohol solvents such as ethanol, isopropanol and butanol, ether solvents such as methyl ether and ethyl ether, ketone solvents such as acetone and methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl cellosolve, butyl cellosolve and cellosolve. Ethylene glycol solvent such as acetate propylene glycol ethyl ether, propylene glycol solvent such as propylene glycol butyl ether, diethylene glycol solvent such as butyl carbitol, etc.,
Usually, these are used alone or in combination. Alkanolamine is most preferable as the organic amine compound for the epoxy resin because of its solubility in the hydrophilic organic solvent. Alkanolamine also has the advantage that a polyurethane aqueous dispersion using an amino group-terminated epoxy resin obtained by the reaction as a chain extender has a side chain hydroxyl group in the molecule and can be crosslinked with the amino resin. ing.

In the present invention, the isocyanate-terminated prepolymer has a carboxyl group which is relatively non-reactive with the isocyanate group, and forms a sufficient amount of carboxyl group salt to form a stable aqueous dispersion. It may be a prepolymer that can be used, or may not contain a carboxyl group. When it has a carboxyl group, a soap-free polyurethane aqueous dispersion can be obtained by forming a salt, and when it does not contain a carboxyl group, a stable aqueous dispersion can be prepared using an emulsifier aqueous solution.

The aqueous polyurethane dispersion according to the present invention has at least two active hydrogen atoms reactive with an isocyanate group in the molecule and has an average molecular weight of 300 to 2
A 000 active hydrogen-containing compound is reacted with an active hydrogen-containing compound having an average molecular weight of 300 or less, a hydrophilic group-containing compound or the like with an organic polyisocyanate compound to prepare a prepolymer having an isocyanate group at the end. The amount of the organic polyisocyanate compound used is 1.2 to 2.5, preferably 1.5 to 2.0, in an equivalent ratio to the amount of the active hydrogen-containing compound reactive with the isocyanate group. Be done. If the amount (equivalent ratio) of the organic polyisocyanate compound used is less than 1.2, the prepolymer tends to remarkably thicken, and it becomes difficult to make it aqueous, which is not preferable. On the other hand, when it exceeds 2.5, the dispersibility of the final product, the polyurethane resin, in water tends to decrease, which is not preferable.

In the present invention, in order to carry out the reaction with isocyanate uniformly, for example, an organic solvent which is inert to the isocyanate group such as dioxane, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, acetonitrile, ethyl acetate, tetrahydrofuran, toluene, xylene. Is used.
Prepolymer-Amounts of 20 to 100% (wt%) based on solids are usually used. If the amount of the organic solvent is less than 20% based on the solid content of the prepolymer, the prepolymer is generally used.
The viscosity of the solution tends to be too high, which makes it difficult to disperse in water, which is not preferable. When the amount of the organic solvent is more than 100% based on the solid content of the prepolymer, the water dispersibility is not improved even if the amount of the organic solvent is further increased, and the amount of the solvent is increased, which is uneconomical. .

In the present invention, conventionally known polyamine compounds may be used in combination within the range where the action and effect of the amino group-terminated polymer are not impaired. Examples of such polyamine compounds include ethylenediamine, 1,2-propanediamine, 1,6-hexamethylenediamine, piperazine, 25-dimethylpiperazine, isophoronediamine, 4,4′-dicyclohexylmethanediamine,
Diamines such as 3,3′-dimethyl-4,4′-dicyclohexylmethanediamine and 1,4-cyclohexanediamine; polyamines such as diethylenetriamine, dipropylenetriamine and triethylenetetramine; hydrazines; acid hydrazides. These may be used alone or in combination. In the present invention, the amount of the amino group-terminated polymer used with respect to the blocked isocyanate prepolymer is such that the total amount of amino groups used as a chain extender is 0.7 to 1. per 1 equivalent of the isocyanate group of the prepolymer. It is limited to be in the range of 1 equivalent. The amount of the amino group used is 0. 1 with respect to 1 equivalent of the terminal isocyanate group of the blocked prepolymer.
When it is less than 7, the strength of the film formed from the resulting aqueous polyurethane dispersion is low, which is not preferable. On the contrary, even if the amount is more than 1.1 equivalents, the storage stability of the obtained polyurethane aqueous dispersion is poor and discoloration is not preferable. The amount of water used to disperse the isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer in water is not particularly limited, but the weight ratio of the finally obtained polyurethane polymer is about 20 to 20% after water dispersion and chain extension. It is generally preferred that the amount be 40%.

As a method of dispersing the isocyanate-terminated prepolymer solution in water, water may be added dropwise while stirring the isocyanate-terminated prepolymer solution to perform phase inversion emulsification, or water may be stirred well. The isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer solution may be added dropwise thereto. Alternatively, a method of dispersing in water by applying a mechanical compressive force with a homogenizer, a colloid mill or the like is a preferable method. A method of using ultrasonic waves for water dispersion is also preferable.
