Abstract

PURPOSE:To quantitatively determine a workload by judging 'interrupt enable' when the difference between the residual time required for copying calculated in accordance with the copying processing conditions under reservation and execution and the time required for next copying is larger than the prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:An operator inputs the preserved copying processing conditions, such as number of sheets of repetitive copying, sizes of copying paper and the number of sheets of originals, of the next copying processing by touching the reservation input key displayed on a liquid crystal display screen 413 as a reservation input means. A CPU 40 which is a means for calculating the time required for copying calculates the time required for copying of the next copying processing and the residual time required for copying of the copying processing under execution. The CPU 404 as a means for deciding 'interrupt enable' or 'disable interrupt' decides the 'interrupt enable' if the difference between the residual time required for copying and the time required for next copying is larger than the prescribed time. As a result, the occupying of the copying machine by the copying operator is averted and the conditions arising from the interrupt processing are switched in a short period of time, by which the efficiency of utilizing the copying machine is enhanced.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, interrupt processing is performed in a copying machine or the like when the interrupter's work (copy work) is highly urgent, or the work amount of copy processing by the current copy worker (or , Work time), there are two cases when it is judged that the work amount (or work time) of the interrupter is obviously shorter.

As a conventional copy interrupt control device, for example,
There is a copy interrupt control device disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-5262. In this copy interrupt control device, the interrupter obtains the permission of the current copy worker, presses the interrupt key to interrupt continuous copying, stores the remaining copy processing condition, and sets the interrupt mode to the interrupt copy processing condition. After inputting, the start key is pressed to perform an interrupt copy, and when the interrupt mode is released after the interrupt copy is completed, the copy processing mode before interruption is automatically restored.

Therefore, the interrupter or the current copy worker does not need to manage the remaining copy processing conditions of the current copy worker when making an interrupt, and also inputs the remaining copy processing conditions again after the completion of interrupt copying. There is no need, and workability and copy efficiency can be improved.

However, according to the conventional copy interrupt control device, the interrupt requesting person and the current copying operator predict the amount of work of each other and judge whether or not to make an interrupt. If there is a large amount of copy, such as copying a large number of documents or multiple copies, or if there are complicated copy processing conditions such as multiple copies / duplex copying of multiple documents, the interrupt requester In addition, there is a problem that it is difficult for the current copy worker to quantitatively judge the work amount.

Further, since it takes a long time to confirm both copy processing conditions, which are the criteria for the judgment, and the interrupt judgment is subjectively made, it is difficult to make a judgment that an interrupt process is made, and a long copying time is required. There was also a problem that the copy workers of the company monopolized the copying machine and the number of people waiting for copying increased. In particular, although the time required for copying by the interrupting person is shorter than the time required for copying by the current copying operator, there is a disadvantage that it is difficult to offer an interrupt process when the absolute time is not short.

Further, in the conventional copy interrupt control device, when executing the interrupt process, the interrupt mode key is pressed to temporarily stop the operation of the device, the paper size designation desired by the interrupter, the number of repeats, etc. Since it is necessary to start the copy operation after inputting various copy processing conditions, the problem that it takes time to switch the copy processing conditions due to interrupt processing and the total waiting time due to interrupt processing However, there is also a problem that the use efficiency of the copying machine is reduced due to the increase in the length. Therefore, if the interrupt processing is executed by mistaken determination, there is also a disadvantage that the time required for the total copying of both parties is increased by the amount of the interrupt processing.

Further, for example, in the copying operation being executed, when the designated recording paper is used up (when the paper is out), when the next operator desires copying using another recording paper, , While the current copy worker can execute copying of several sheets while supplying the recording paper, if interrupt processing is performed, the interrupt mode key is pressed to temporarily stop the operation of the device,
Since the copying operation must be started after inputting various copy processing conditions such as the paper size designation and the number of repeats desired by the interrupter, the operation becomes complicated, and copying is actually performed using other recording paper. It was difficult.

[Automatic Interrupting Process] The automatic interrupting process is performed by the current copying worker performing the continuous copying process on the digital copying machine main body 20 side through the LCD 413 on the operation panel 402. Is executed when the reserved input mode is used, and based on the reserved copy processing condition set in the reserved input mode and the copy processing condition of the copy processing being executed, reserve the next copy processing. Copy time T
R and the remaining copy required time T Z of the copy process being executed are calculated. If the difference between the remaining copy required time T Z and the reserved copy required time T R is larger than the predetermined time T S , it is determined that interruption is possible,
The operator is prompted to select whether to automatically execute the interrupt process or whether to execute the interrupt process.

By executing the automatic interrupt process in this way, for example, if the next copy worker makes a reservation input of copy processing conditions during continuous copying by the current copy worker, the operation unit 40
The CPU 404 of 0 (copy interrupt control device) compares the reserved copy required time T R with the remaining copy required time T Z of the current copy operator, and the preset interrupt condition (T Z −T R > T S ). ), The interrupt mode is automatically set. So even if you make a relatively large number of large copies,
Even if the absolute time is not so short, it is possible to preferentially process a copy that takes a relatively short time, and it is possible to reduce the number of people waiting for copying. In addition, it is possible to efficiently process a long copy time and a short copy time.

By executing the automatic interrupt end processing upon completion of paper supply in this way, basically, the interrupt mode is released when the current copying worker completes the supply of the recording paper Pa. If the remaining copying time required for the interrupt process is short, the interrupt mode is released after the interrupt process is completed. Therefore, the next copy worker (here, interrupter)
Can perform the copying process without waiting for the current copying operator to complete the continuous copying, and can improve the usage efficiency of the copying machine.

In the above-described embodiment, the automatic interrupt process (see FIG.
2), the reserved copy required time T for the next copy processing
R and the remaining copy required time T Z of the copy process being executed are calculated, and if the difference between the remaining copy required time T Z and the reserved copy required time T R is larger than the predetermined time T S , it is determined that interruption is possible. However, the present invention is not particularly limited to this, and as shown in the flowchart of the automatic interrupt processing of FIG. 16, the reserved copying required time T R is the predetermined time T 1 or less and the remaining copying required time T Z is the predetermined time. If the time is T 2 or more, it may be determined that interruption is possible.

By executing the automatic interrupt process in this way, for example, if the next copy worker makes a reservation input of copy processing conditions during continuous copying by the current copy worker, the operation unit 40
The CPU 404 of 0 (copy interrupt control device) compares the reserved copy required time T R with the remaining copy required time T Z of the current copying operator, and sets a preset interrupt condition (T R ≦ T 1 and T
If it matches Z ≧ T 2 ), the interrupt mode is automatically set. Therefore, even if a relatively large number of copies are to be made, even if the absolute time is not so short, the one having a relatively short copying time can be preferentially processed, and the number of people waiting for copying can be reduced. In addition, it is possible to efficiently process a long copy time and a short copy time.
