Abstract

PURPOSE: To save the energy and secure the safety and to improve the operability by performing control so that the power source is not connected unless a human body detecting means detects an operator from a specific time before the connection time of the power source to the connection time.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with switch means 10aL and 10aH for turning ON and OFF the power source of the image forming device, a timer means 280 which measures the time, and a control means 210 which controls the switch means 10aL and 10aH so as to turn ON and OFF the power source of the image formation device automatically by comparing time registered in a memory means 290 with the current time. Further, the human body detection device 500 which detects the operator being present nearby the image formation device is provided and the control is so performed that the power source of the image formation device is not turned ON even at the ON time of the power source unless the human body detecting means 500 detects the operator from the specific time before the connection time of the ON time. Consequently, the energy of the image formation device is saved, the safety is secured, and the operability is improved.
