Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the oil leak of a valve by forming a communication groove which communicates to each discharge port, and installing a cover member and a fluid resistance generating means, on the reverse surface of a valve body having a discharge port for the oil for generating the fluid resistance by a plunger and a suction port which are installed on the surface.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 8 is accommodated in the plunger chamber 7 of a rotor 5, and a rotary valve 11 having a suction port 12 and a discharge port 14 on the surface is installed. A communication groove 15 which communicates to each discharge port 14 is formed on the reverse surface of the rotary valve 11, and a cover member 16 is closely attached. An orifice (fluid resistance generating means) 17 is formed between the communication groove 15 and the suction port 12. When the plunger 8 is pushed in by a cam 1, the oil in the plunger chamber 7 is pushed into the discharge port 14, and supplied into the suction port 12 from the communication groove 15 and the orifice 17. At this time, the hydraulic pressure in the plunger chamber increases, and when the cam is turned, a torque is generated. With the constitution of the reverse surface of the valve body, leak of oil is reduced.
