Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a readhesion control means which can suppress idling and slip and can maintain adhesion as high as possible by detecting idling or slip in early stage through predicted speed of driving wheel and suppressing inverter output frequency. CONSTITUTION:Rotational frequency of driving wheel is fed to speed operating units 31-34 which then operate shaft speeds 61-64 to be fed to speed predicting units 81-84. The speed predicting units sequentially generates predicted speeds 111-114. Since the shaft speed exceeds (or drops below) the predicted speed upon occurrence of idling(or slip), transition is made to inverter frequency suppression control when the speed difference exceeds a prescribed level. Since torque of an induction motor decreases, inverter output current decreases correspondingly to a level corresponding to the adhesion coefficient at that time and thereby positive readhesion is realized while suppressing torque reduction as low as possible.
