Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately calculate the amplitude value of a power system which is an object to be protected even when the current frequency of the power system deviates from a reference frequency by detecting the deviation between the current frequency and the reference frequency and correcting a sampling frequency with a frequency correcting device so that the sampling frequency can become an integer multiple of the current frequency of the power system.
CONSTITUTION: A frequency correcting device 14 fetches sine wave data by performing a software process and delivers a correcting signal which is proportional to the difference ▵t between a reference frequency f0 and the current frequency f1 of a power system deviating from the reference frequency f0 to a clock signal generation circuit 15. The circuit 15 corrects a sampling frequency on the basis of the correcting signal and delivers sampling pulses to sampling holders 7 and 8 at intervals T2/3 (at an electrical angle of 30° against the current frequency f1 of the system). The interval between X0 and X2 of the data successively sampled by the holders 7 and 8 corresponds to an electrical angle of 90°.
