Research aimed at improving the absorption characteristics of absorbent articles has been conducted for a long time, and numerous results have been reported. Most of the goals are to improve absorption speed, prevent liquid from returning to the surface from the absorbent body after absorption, and reduce stickiness on the surface.

To give a specific example, first, research on surface materials revealed that rayon staples, which have been commonly used in the past, are hydrophilic and have a sticky surface. Proposals have been made to reduce the stickiness of the surface by changing this to a hydrophobic material such as polypropylene staple, polyester staple, etc.

In addition, as an absorbent material, we have improved the absorbent capacity by applying a polymer absorbent material (superabsorbent polymer) that improves the low retention power after absorption of conventional absorbent paper and cotton pulp. At the same time, it has been proposed to prevent the liquid from returning to the surface material after absorption. In fact, these proposals have greatly improved the absorption capacity itself. This can be said to have largely solved problems such as leakage due to insufficient absorption capacity.
In addition, the retention power due to absorption and swelling of superabsorbent polymers is overwhelmingly higher than that of conventional absorbent paper or cotton-like pulp, so if it is effectively absorbed, the effect is great.
This is highly beneficial for the user, as the feeling of use, especially stickiness (liquid returning to the surface after absorption), is reduced.

Because of this, research goals for sanitary napkins focused on how to make superabsorbent polymers function effectively. The results have been proposed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-56561, Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-6946, etc.

However, the present inventors believe that no matter how effectively these materials such as superabsorbent polymers are made to function, their absorption properties are still insufficient, and the problem of lateral leakage in particular has not been solved. In other words, when menstrual blood is absorbed, deformation is large in response to the pressure applied when worn between the crotches, resulting in lateral leakage.

This condition is obvious even when looking at the shape of the napkin after wearing as shown in Figure 5, and when the napkin is set in this deformed state (this is called twisting), most of the leakage is especially from the sides of the central part. occupies the majority of In other words, when the sanitary napkin is in a wet state after absorbing blood, the central part of the sanitary napkin will twist due to pressure from the crotch during closing or walking, and the blood-absorbing part (if it is worn correctly, the approximately central part in the width direction of the napkin) ) and both ends became close, resulting in leakage leaving an unabsorbed portion.

Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 60-24339 states, ``In the central region, absorbent paper or a material made of a combination of this and pulverized pulp is arranged, and in both sides of the absorbent paper, pulverized pulp or a material mainly composed of this is arranged. However, this napkin does not solve the above-mentioned problems of sagging and wrinkling after absorption, and cannot be expected to be sufficiently effective.

Furthermore, many napkins have been proposed that have concave notches on the sides of the absorbent body, with the idea of improving the fit by matching the shape of the crotch when worn as much as possible with the shape of the absorbent body. 25237, Utility Model Publication No. 60-31718, etc.).

However, simply cutting out a part of the absorbent body in a concave shape only reduces the absorbent capacity in the area where the absorbent capacity is required, and instead causes horizontal leakage.

Therefore, in view of the problems mentioned above, the inventors of the present invention have developed a method that prevents lateral leakage by preventing deformation and twisting during use without impairing the feeling of use, and by improving the fit to the genitals and groin area. As a result of extensive research into the composition of sanitary napkins that effectively prevents this, we came up with this idea.

That is, in the present invention, the absorbent body section is composed of a first absorbent body in the lower layer and a second absorbent body that is fixed inseparably to the center of the upper surface of the first absorbent body and is narrower than the first absorbent body. The back surface, side surfaces, and part of the top surface of the absorbent body and the side surface of the second absorbent body are covered with a leakage preventive material, and further, at least a part of the leakage preventive material and the top surface of the second absorbent body are covered with a surface material. The present invention relates to a sanitary napkin in which a plug part is formed, and a surface material and a leak-proof material, as well as a leak-proof material and a first absorbent body are fixedly integrated in the plug part by a fixing part.

Also, the width difference between the first absorbent body and the second absorbent body is 10 mm.
It is desirable that the diameter is above 30 mm, and most preferably about 30 mm. Furthermore, the width of the second absorbent body is effectively 30 mm to 70 mm, and the width can be varied depending on the purpose of use. For example, the width for the daily use type is 40 mm to 55 mm.
mm, 30-45mm for light daily use, and 50-70mm for long-time and night use. Especially for daily use types that involve a lot of movement, the width of the second absorbent body is 40 to 55 mm, and the width of the first absorbent body is 70 to 85 mm. As mentioned above, it has a good fit to the shape of the crotch and does not deform. It was confirmed that there were few

In the flap portion 9, the bonding portion 6 between the surface material 5 and the leakage preventive material 4 and the bonding portion 7 between the leakage preventive material 4 and the first absorbent body 1 are formed by any method such as heat sealing or hot melting. It may be fixed. It is best for the fixed portion 6 to be located 2 to 10 mm from the end of the second absorbent body 2, and best about 3 to 5 mm. If the position of the fixing part 6 is too close to the second absorbent body, it will come into contact with a part of the absorbent body when fixing, which is undesirable and reduces absorbency, usability, and appearance. If it is too far away, the surface material and absorbent Since a space is created between the absorbent body and the body part, menstrual blood does not transfer smoothly to the absorbent body, which is undesirable as it causes lateral leakage.

Further, the fixed portion 7 is desirably located at a position of 3 mm or more from the end of the leakage preventer, and preferably about 5 mm. If it is about 5 mm, absorbed menstrual blood can effectively prevent horizontal diffusion and bleeding when it reaches the end of the second absorbent body 2, and guide it to the end of the first absorbent body 1. be able to.

In addition, the leakage preventive material 4 of the present invention may be polylaminated waterproof paper, which is generally used waterproof paper laminated with polyethylene or the like on one side, or one-sided laminate of a relatively low melting point resin of 150°C or less, or two types of waterproof paper. Double lamination using a combination of different resins can also be used if necessary. The leakage preventive material 4 is rolled up upward from the end of the first absorbent body to the side surface of the second absorbent body.

Furthermore, in the sanitary napkin of the present invention, it is preferable that a part of the anti-slip adhesive material 8 made of adhesive tape or hot melt placed on the non-use surface reaches the back surface of the leakproof material through the surface material. In this case, the surface material 5 and the leakage preventive material 4 are fixed to each other at a fixed portion 6' at the bottom of the back surface of the first absorbent body 1. The adhesion strength is preferably 30g or more under the entire napkin.

As explained above, the sanitary napkin of the present invention has a main absorbent part (second part) with a width that fits the shape of the crotch.
It basically consists of a flap forming absorbent part (first absorbent body) and a flap forming absorbent part (first absorbent body), and also includes a first absorbent body, a second absorbent body, a surface material, a leak-proof material, and a leak-proof material. The feature is that the leakage preventive material is rolled up to the side of the second absorbent body, and the leakage preventive material is fixedly integrated with the first absorbent body or the second absorbent body.
If it is not fixed or partially fixed against the pressure in the crotch, the constituent material alone will only provide deformation resistance and deformation and twisting will be inevitable. Leakage can be effectively prevented.
