Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously operate an AC motor for driving a water distribution pump even when abnormality is discriminated by controlling the motor by switching a speed feedback signal to a voltage feedback signal when the abnormality is discriminated.
CONSTITUTION: A feedback signal switching circuit 8 discriminates the presence/ absence of abnormality by comparing a speed feedback signal 4 and voltage feedback signal 6 with each other by using a feedback signal discriminating function composed of relay amplifiers RA0-RA3 and relays RY0-RY3 and outputs a switching command for switching the feedback signals on the basis of a discriminated result. Namely, at least the speed feedback signal 4 of the feedback signals 4 and 6 is outputted to a speed control circuit 5 when the signal 4 is normal and the voltage feedback signal 6 is outputted to the circuit 5 as a speed controlling feedback signal 9 when the signal 4 is abnormal. Therefore, when a trouble occurs in a tachometer generator 3 while an AC motor 2 is operated, not only the motor 2 is immediately stopped for protection, but also the motor 2 can be operated continuously without giving any trouble to a distributing pump facility which is operated by the motor 2.
