Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent reduction of a display quality generated along a liquid injecting direction, and enable usage of a high-resistance scan electrode simultaneously, and enable usage of liquid crystal materials of different polarities for a plural-component-based liquid crystal display panel.
CONSTITUTION: A plural-component-based liquid crystal material is injected from an injection port 3 into a cell, a scan electrode 10 is disposed in parallel to an injection direction of liquid crystals, and a scan signal is added to the scan electrode 10 on the opposite side to the injection port 3. For the plural- component-based liquid crystal, high polarity components are adsorbed by an orientation film 5, so the density is higher on the injection port side, with the density on the depth side lower. A higher drive voltage is thus required on the deeper side. This effect is compensated by an inner resistance of the scan electrode 10, and the scan voltage is set higher on the deeper side, while the scan voltage on the injection port side is set lower.
