Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title film in which the layers are completely integrated and which is excellent in permeability to various gases and liquids.
CONSTITUTION: A process for producing the title film which is a porous polytetrafluoroethylene film made of at least two layers with different mean pore diameters, comprising coating a porous polytetrafluoroethylene film substrate which has not been heated to a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of an unfired polytetrafluoroethylene with an emulsified polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion, semi-firing the film by heating to a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of fired polytetrafluoroethylene, and stretching the film at least monoaxially.
