Abstract

PURPOSE: To execute the deceleration at a high speed equal acceleration, and to surely move head to a target track by executing tracking servo, in the case of passing through the center of the target track or in the case the number of remaining tracks becomes zero.

CONSTITUTION: By feeding back a difference signal 55 of a reference speed signal 55 of a reference speed signal 30 and a speed detecting signal 39, speed control of a seek operation of an optical head 20 is executed. In that case, in the case the number of remaining tracks becomes a prescribed value, that is ≤'1', a first timing signal 47 is outputted generating circuit 44, and a first switching circuit 31 is switched to a ground level. Also, in the case the speed detecting signal 39 becomes a prescribed value or below, a switching circuit 34 is switched to a ground level by a second timing signal 52. Moreover, in the case of passing through the center of a target track, a switching circuit 41 is switched to a tracking servo 40 side by a third timing signal 52, therefore, deceleration is executed at a high speed by equal acceleration, and tracking servo can be executed surely.
