PURPOSE: To mount rapidly and easily the discharge core with projecting ends of a discharge electrode in an electrostatic precipitator.
CONSTITUTION: A method for mounting a discharge electrode comprising inserting a discharge core 32 into an electrically conductive sleeve 34 in such a manner as to project both its ends from the sleeve, inserting the sleeve 34 into the hole of a discharge material 28 and subsequently deforming the sleeve 34, so that the discharge core 32 is pressed into contact with the hole of the discharge material 28 via the sleeve 34.
