Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an improved way to sort hulled rice by air blasting at an air sorting part B in the air sorting of the rice hulled at a rice hulling part 1, in either case where the rice hulls are discharged by the sorting air directly from a dust discharge cylinder 6 at an air sort ing part B or to a distant place from a dust discharge pipe for remote discharge use connected to the dust discharge cylinder 6.
CONSTITUTION: A remote dust discharge cylinder 6a on the air exhausting side of a hulled rice air sorting passage 4 in a hulled rice sorting machine is so constructed as to be fitted with a hull receiving bag 35, the cylinder 6a through which a sorting air is passed is provided with first and second air pressure sensors 33 and 34 and, when the first and second air pressure sensors 33 and 34 detect that the hull receiving bag 35 is connected to the remote dust discharge cylinder 6a, the sorting air is regulated to be on the increasing side in operative association with such sensors. In either case with the remote dust discharge cylinder 6a or the hull receiving bag 35 installed, since the sorting air in the hulled rice air sorting passage 4 is increased, the sorting efficiency of the hulled rice can be improved.
