Abstract

PURPOSE: To reset the output overcurrent protective device even if a man does not proceed to a welding power source installation place and to prevent irregular operation to start welding simultaneously with the reset when the welding power source output is stopped by detecting an output overcurrent.
CONSTITUTION: The output overcurrent protective device of the arc welding power source which operates a latch circuit 16 by an abnormality determining signal from an overcurrent detection circuit 15 and continues to stop the welding power source output till the latch is released is provided with a reset circuit 17 which determines a state of a starting signal after the lapse of specified downtime since the above-mentioned abnormality determining signal is produced and sends out a reset signal to the latch circuit 16, respectively at a point of that time when the starting signal is turned off when the specified downtime is completed and at a point of time when the starting signal is turned off subsequently when the starting signal is turned on at that time.
