Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten starting time and utilize the energy saving property of a refrigerant compressor effectively usually by a method wherein the refrigerant compressor is provided and the suction side of the same is connected to the low pressure side of a refrigerating machine while the delivery side of the compressor is connected to the high-pressure side of the refrigerating machine.
CONSTITUTION: When the heat source temperature of a generator G is low upon starting and the like and a refrigerating capacity is insufficient, a refrigerant compressor F is operated. The refrigerant compressor F is driven by an engine or electric power and sucks refrigerant vapor from an evaporator E through a pipe 8, then, discharges it into a condenser C through a pipe 9 after compressing it. The compressed refrigerant vapor is condensed in the condenser C and is introduced into the evaporator E through a pipe 6, then, is evaporated by depriving cold water of the heat thereof and is circulated to the refrigerant compressor F through the pipe 8. In this case, the pipes 8, 9 are connected directly to the evaporator E and the condenser C, however, the operation can be effected in the same manner even when the pipes 8, 9 are connected to pipes 7, 5. The refrigerant compressor F is operated in such a manner whereby a sufficient refrigerating capacity can be maintained even when a refrigerating capacity is insufficient by only an absorption type refrigerating machine.
