Abstract

PURPOSE:To confirm the present working state of a display device from the glowing color by displaying the glowing color of a power lamp after changing it into a color corresponding to the working state of a device. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply is applied, a register 12 is reset and a power lamp 10 glows in yellow. Then '1' is written into a register and the glowing color of the lamp 10 changes to green when an application program is normally started through a prescribed procedure. Meanwhile '0' is written into the register if a program independent of the control of an OS, and the green color of the lamp 10 is changed again to yellow. The program is reset with the restart of the OS and the prescribed operations following self-diagnosis are carried out. If an alarm alarmp 16 glows while the lamp 10 is glowing in yellow, a fault occurring at a basic constitution pat is suspected. In such constitution, the present working state of a display device can be displayed together with the occurrence of abnormality and these display contents are easily confirmed with use of only two lamps 10 and 16.
