Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve workability of application of water proof by a method wherein a gasket comprises a resilient contact part having an upper outer surface forming a protruding curve, a bridge part in an X-shape in cross section supporting the resilient contact part from the back, a horizontal piece extended outwardly from the lower end of the resilient contact part, and a tip piece formed such that the tip of the horizontal piece is bent downward. CONSTITUTION:A gasket 3 for a panel lateral joint is formed of a resilient substance. A resilient contact part 4 is formed in an oval shape in cross section. The resilient contact part 4 is supported from the rear of the resilient contact part 4 by a bridge part 5 in an X-shape in cross section. Further, a horizontal piece 6 is extended outwardly from the lower end part of the resilient contact part 4, and a tip piece 7 is bent approximately at 45 deg. downwardly of the tip of the horizontal piece.
