An elevating platform is provided on the traveling platform, and a running fork for loading and unloading that can move in and out in the lateral direction is provided on the elevating platform. By the forking action, the load is transferred between the load storage section on the rack side and the top of the traveling truck. That is, during load transfer, the running fork moves up and down while supporting the load with the fork tip (uppermost movable platform) that cantilevers from the top of the traveling cart into the load storage area on the rack side. Therefore, it is necessary for the running fork to have sufficiently high bending strength against vertical loads when extended in a cantilevered state. For this reason, conventional running forks are heavy and bulky. Ta. Moreover, this required a large motor to drive the running fork in and out, which had the disadvantage of making the whole system expensive.

に受は持たせることか出来る。(Operations and Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the rack equipment with a load transfer device of the present invention, loads can be transferred between a traveling cart that can run along the rack and the load storage section of the rack. is a conventional running fork itself due to the forking action, which is a combination of the movement of the running fork on the running truck into and out, and the lifting and lowering movement of a load support platform that is movable up and down on the uppermost movable platform of the running fork. The pair of left and right cargo receivers provided in each cargo storage section on the rack side are connected to the uppermost movable platform of the running fork via guide rollers. Since a rail portion is provided to movably support the running fork, when the running fork is extended in a cantilevered manner for loading and unloading, that is, when the uppermost stage movable platform is moved forward in a cantilevered manner. The vertical load acting on the uppermost movable platform can be transferred via the guide rollers to the cargo rack on the rack side.

By using lightweight and low-volume members for the intermediate movable base, the uppermost movable base, and the support means between each base that constitute the running fork, the entire running fork can be made small and lightweight. Therefore, even though the uppermost movable base of the running fork is provided with a load support platform that can be raised and lowered and a means for driving it up and down, a small and small capacity motor is used to drive the running fork in and out. This can be done smoothly and reliably.
