PURPOSE: To optimize sheet crown control by limiting roll bend pressure when the deviation between the elongation percentage that is detected with a flatness detecting means and its set target value exceeds a prescribed value.

In this way, sheet crown control can be optimally executed in the range that the shape of the rolled stock isn't affected.
