Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a useful deodorizing composition material which has no coloring or discoloring, is easy to handle, can be used for all coatable materials, and can be used for a paint or printing in combination with other materials by containing cyclodextrin and organic acid,in addition, zeolite or silica as required. CONSTITUTION:Glucose molecules connected circularly are used for cyclodextrin, and malic acid, succinic acid, critic acid, ascorbic acid and alginic acid are used for organic acid. The composition of cyclodextrin of 99-30wt.%, organic acid of 1-40wt.% and zeolite or silica of O-50wt.% is used, and the composition of cyclodextrin of 95-50wt.% organic acid of 5-30wt.% and zeolite or silica of 0-40wt.% is preferable in particular. For its utilization or usage, it can be directly used for an object generating an odor, or it may be coated or printed on a substrate. It can be applied to fibers, metals or plastic, for example.

Recently, a method using a divalent metal salt and an L-ascorbic acid compound has been proposed as a method for improving these drawbacks. However, this product undergoes significant oxidation due to oxygen in the air, and absorbs moisture emitted from the air and odorous substances, resulting in significant discoloration, deliquescence, and the generation of its own unique odor. It had problems such as not being able to be used as an odor agent.

There are 27 ways to measure odor! Each sample was placed in an Erlenmeyer flask, an ammonia acetone solution was added thereto, the flask was tightly capped, and heated and vaporized on a water bath. The concentration in the flask at that point was taken as the initial concentration, and the concentration in the flask was measured over time. It was assumed that the concentration in the flask decreased due to the absorption effect of the sample piece. A Gas Snack detector tube was used for the measurement. The results are shown in the table. For comparison, a blank test and a sheet were made according to Example 2. Zeolite only.
