Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the contents of a RAM from being destructed due to the consumption of an auxiliary power supply and the runaway of a microcomputer by providing this resetting circuit with a means for disabling the reset of the microcomputer when a main power supply is OFF.
CONSTITUTION: In the resetting circuit, the base of a transistor(TR) switch 24 is connected to the output of a voltage detecting circuit 15 through a reset switch 20 and a resistor 23. When the main power supply if OFF, the output of the circuit 15 is turned to a low level, so that even when a reset switch 20 is turned on in said state, the switch 24 is not turned on. Since no reset signal is supplied to a microcomputer system 100, the system 100 is not reset. Consequently, the contents of the RAM 16 can be prevented from being destructed due to the consumption of a battery constituting the an auxiliary power supply 12 or the runaway of the microcomputer 19.
