Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a collision by judging that either interval between a frame or a radiation head and a therapeutic bed or a treated person on the therapeutic bed approaches the preset distance with the video signal of a TV camera, and stopping the frame or the therapeutic bed.
CONSTITUTION: A frame 1, a radiation head 2, a therapeutic bed 3 and a treated person 4 are monitored by a TV camera 7 installed on the wall face 8 faced to the frame 1, its video signal 11 is sent to a safety control device 10 for image processing, and their relative relations are grasped. When at least either interval between the frame 1 or radiation head 2 and the therapeutic bed 3 or treated person 4 approaches the preset distance, a safety control device 10 sends a stop signal 12 to the frame 1 or the therapeutic bed 3 moving in the collision direction or to both to stop them, and it stops the generation of radioactive rays. A collision can be prevented, and safety can be improved.
