Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent vibration of an original on a glass plate with simple constitution by forming an upper end of a contact glass toward upperstream side lower than an upper face of a guide face, and forming the upper end toward the downstream side higher than the upper face of the guide plate.

CONSTITUTION: An original 8 is carried to a contact glass 3 along a guide plate 4 by a platen roller 11. Since an upper end 6 of the glass 3 toward the upperstream side is placed lower than the upper face of the guide plate 4, the original 8 is not inserted between the guide plate 4 and the glass 3. Moreover, since the upper face of the glass 3 is tilted highly toward the downstream in the carrying direction, the tip of the original 8 is carried while sliding on the upper face of the glass 3 and no vibration is caused. Furthermore, since the upper end 7 of the glass 3 toward the downstream side is placed higher than the upper face of the guide plate 4, the insertion of the tip of the original 8 between the guide plate 4 and the glass 3 resulting in causing jamming is avoided and no vibration is caused.
