に真空処理室へ連らなる長尺物の搬送経路に設けられ、
各差圧室aには回転自在のシールロールbと、該シール
ロールbに接近したシールピースCとで構成される差圧
シール装置dを設け、該シールロールbを捲回して真空
処理室へと搬送される長尺物eの周囲をシールすること
が行われている。各差圧室a、aには真空ポンプに連ら
なる排気孔fが夫々設けられ、各差圧室aの圧力は真空
処理室に近づく程低い圧力に制御される。該シールロー
ルbの両端は、第2図示のように差圧室aの側壁にボル
トで取付けた気密の筐体g内の軸受りによって支持され
、その一端はシール機構iを介して外部へ導出されてチ
ェーンホイ−ルjが取付けられる。kは盲板である。

て連続搬送を行なえなくなる不都合があった。

気密性を有する中空体で覆うことにより、前記目的を達
成するようにした。
