Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent false detection of a reception signal and to enable accurate measurement of an inclination by emitting signals alternately from ultrasonic sensors on the opposite sides of a vehicle body and by canceling reception signals detected by the two sensors simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: An inclination of a vehicle body is measured from the relation in time between emission signals emitted onto a road surface 7 from ultrasonic sensors 1a and 1b on the opposite sides of the vehicle body and ultrasonic reception signals obtained by reflection on the road surface 7. On the occasion, the ultrasonic signals are emitted alternately from the sensors 1a and 1b and they are amplified by ultrasonic wave amplifying elements 2a and 2b. Received wave amplifying elements 3a and 3b amplify and detect the ultrasonic reception signals obtained by reflection on the road surface 7 and the logical product of these signals is taken in an NAND circuit (logic circuit) 4. Analog switches 5a and 5b control ON and OFF generated from disconnection of reception signal lines from the amplifying elements 3a and 3b, on the basis of an output of the circuit 4. Moreover, an input-output control of the ultrasonic signals and an arithmetic processing thereof are executed in CPU 6, the reception signals detected on the right and the left simultaneously are canceled and noise is removed.
