Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an engine from vibrating and stalling with a miniature device by controlling the increased speed of field exciting current with the use of an integrating circuit to the making of the electric load of an alternator, with the controller of the car generator for charging a battery.
CONSTITUTION: The field exciting current of the field winding 13 of an AC generator 1 for a vehicle is controlled by a control circuit 3. At the time of a constant load state, the rate of conduction of a transistor 39 is detected by an average conduction-rate detecting circuit 32, and a duty is determined by a step-down circuit 34 and the maximum signal generating circuit 35, and with an AND with the output of a voltage controlling circuit 31, the transistor 39 is ON/OFF-controlled. When a large electric load 6 is made, then battery voltage is suddenly lowered, but due to the time constant of the average conduction rate detecting circuit 32, the ON-duty of the transistor 39 is slowly increased. Accordingly, the field exciting current also ascends slowly, and so is an engine load not suddenly changed.
