Abstract

PURPOSE: To constitute a noise filter for a high frequency signal line with a ZnO group varister material by forming plural throughelectrodes so as to be in crossing with a common electrode with a sintered layer in-between in the sintered body having a varister characteristic.
CONSTITUTION: Plural ceramic green sheets 11-14 having varister characteristic are prepared. A common electrode 15 prolonged in parallel with its long side on the sheet 14 and through-electrodes 16a-16c prolonged in parallel with its short side are formed on the sheets 11-13. The through-electrodes 16a-16c are of the same shape and formed to a position where they are overlapped with each other when laminated. The sheets 11-14 are laminated and a ceramic green sheet with no conductive paste applied thereto is laminated as the uppermost layer, they are pressed in the broadwise direction and sintered to obtain a sintered body 17. External electrodes 18a, 18b are formed on side faces 17a, 17b of the sintered body 17 and external electrodes 19a, 19b are formed on side faces 17c, 17d. Thus, only static capacitance is reduced without varying the varister characteristic.
