Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably enhance power generation efficiency of a power generation system with the use of only a steam turbine by raising the temperature of hot water by means of a heat pump device utilizing exhaust heat obtained at the time of water condensation for a heat source.
CONSTITUTION: In a steam turbine power generation device 1, a condenser 4 for processing steam used in a steam turbine 3 connected to a generator 6 is provided, and hot water obtained by the condenser 4 is converted into steam so as to be supplied to the turbine 3 again. In the condenser 4 a heat pump device 8 utilizing exhaust heat obtained at the time of water condensation for a heat source is provided, and the heat pump 8 raises a temperature of hot water. Since latent heat of condensate steam is thus utilized for preheating of condensate water, efficiency of the steam turbine power generation device 1 is remarkably enhanced.
