Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an effect on the distance of a counter electrode and the end face of an opposed end section electrode formed on both main surfaces of the surface and rear of a base body of insulation resistance or withstand voltage characteristics by forming insulating layers onto the surfaces of the ceramic base body except one part of the counter electrode and the counter electrode and connecting the end section electrode to the counter electrode in the non-coating sections of the insulating layers respectively.
CONSTITUTION: Counter electrodes 11 are formed on the whole surfaces of both main surfaces of the surface and rear of a semiconductor ceramic base body 10, and insulating glass layers 12 are formed onto the end faces 10a of the base body 10, the whole surfaces except one parts near one-side end faces 10a of the counter electrodes 11 and the surfaces of the side faces 10b of the base body 10. End section electrodes 15 connected in the non-coating sections 1 of the counter electrodes 11 and the insulating glass layers 12 are formed from the upper sections of the insulating glass layers 12 to the end faces 10a of the base body 10 and near the end faces 10a respectively. The insulating layers 12 are shaped onto the surface except one parts of the counter electrodes 11 and the surface of the base body 10, and the distances of the counter electrodes and the end faces of, the opposed end section electrades are not subject to the effect of withstand voltage characteristics, etc., and the counter electrodes can be formed onto the whole surfaces of both main surfaces of the surface and the rear.
