Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable rapid use of a machine room, etc. after movement by temporarily installing a lift device on an elevating path constituted above the machine room, and installing an elevator machine while a carriage is elevated and moved in the elevating path from the above lift device to the machine room with the lift operated.
CONSTITUTION: An elevating path 1A is built above a machine room 3, wherein when the machine room 3 is to be moved upward, receiving beams are mounted respectively to have a transfer beam 17 bridged on a site where the machine room 3 is expected to be placed, and a lift device 18 and a carriage 20 are placed by using a tower crane 15 or the like. Then the lift device 18 is driven to have the carriage 20 elevated and moved so that an operator on the carriage 20 installs a guide rail 13 on a side wall of the elevating path 1A and places a step-in device or wirings so as to permit rapid use after the movement of the machine room 3. Then the tower crane 15 or the like is used to place the machine room between the receiving beams 16, 16.
