Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance a circuit efficiency and to prevent an erroneous operation due to switching noise by providing breaking means for turning OFF between the drain and the source of a field effect transistor when an overcurrent is detected.
CONSTITUTION: When a current flowing between the drain and the source of an FET 6 becomes an overcurrent, a voltage V2 output from an amplifier 4 becomes a set voltage V1. Accordingly, a comparator 3 applies an H signal to a NOT circuit 82. In this case, since the circuit 82 applies an L signal to an AND circuit 81, the circuit 81 inhibits to input a signal from a distributor 2 to the gate of the FET 6. When no H signal is input to the gate of the FET 6, the FET 6 is turned OFF to break a power source to a driving coil 7.
