Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the optimum amount of heat dissipation as well as an air side pressure loss in the actual use of a condenser by specifying the area of the front surface of a core, the width of a tube, the height of the tube, the pitch of fins, the height of fins and the width of a louver within a specified range.
CONSTITUTION: A condenser is provided with a pair of hollow headers 3, 4, arranged in parallel, a multitude of flat tubes 1, arranged in parallel between both headers, and fins 2 equipped with louvers and arranged between neighboring tubes while a core unit 20 is constituted of the tubes 1 and the fins 2. The area of a counter surface 21 to the flowing air of the core unit 20 is specified to 0.05-0.40 m3, the width of the tube 1 is specified to 10-22 mm, the height of the tube is specified to 1.2-3.0 mm, the pitch of the fins 2 is specified to 1.6-4.0 mm, the height of the fins is specified to 5-11 mm the width of th louver is specified to 0.7-2.5 mm. Accordingly, the amount of dissipating heat of about 5000-10000 Kcal/hr and the air side pressure loss of about 15 mmAq or less, which are required in the actual use of the condenser such as a car air conditioner or the like, can be realized.
