Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an effect to continuously change a picture by dividing the picture of a three-dimensional space to be displayed into the plural picture groups of a two-dimensional space corresponding to various depth amounts and reconstituting the three-dimensional picture when the picture is displayed.
CONSTITUTION: A picture input means E prepares (n) pieces of two dimensional pictures (P1-Pn) corresponding to the various depth amounts when being observed from a reference view point position in advance. On the other hand, a view point position detector A detects the view point position of a picture observer and measured a distance between the observer and a display D and which direction the observer observes the display. Then, the measurement data are outputted as view point position data. Next, corresponding to the change of the distance between the view point position and the display D, the respective two-dimensional pictures (P1-Pn) are enlarged (or reduced) by using a changing means B. After the enlargement/reduction using the above mentioned changing means B and the movement of the picture position, the (n) pieces of two-dimensional pictures (P'1-P'n) are synthesized by a synthesizing means C.
