Abstract

PURPOSE: To express the inter-word relation which is highly practical and also suited to the automation by extracting a group unit of sentences and at the same time calculating the simultaneous emerging frequency information on two words together with integration and normalization to decide the link weight.
CONSTITUTION: A group of sentences (units) is extracted out of the sentences inputted in a proper form of documents, voices, etc., and simultaneous emerging frequency of two words in the extracted sentences is calculated. For instance, 'HA' and 'WO' which are independent of the context and having no relation with the topic are excluded out of a sentence 'IZEN NI OKONAWARE TA HONYAKU WO SAIRIYO SURU HONYAKU HOSHIKI'. Then the word 'OKONAWARETA' having the conjugation is changed into 'OKONAU', and the words 'IZEN', 'OKONAU', 'HONYAKU', 'SAIRIYO', and 'HOSHIKI' are extracted. Then the simultaneous emerging frequency information on two words is calculated and integrated within each unit. Each unit is normalized and at the same time the integrate frequency information on each link is normalized for all units. Thus the link weight is decided. Then it is possible to facilitate the saving of the storage capacity, the deletion of noises, and the learning of new sentences.
