Abstract

PURPOSE: To seal a burner part by supplying the inside, from the outside of a sintering machine ignition furnace, with high temperature air in a gap between an ignition burner and a burner-inserted open hole opened in a ceiling part.
CONSTITUTION: A heater 7 is inserted in a burner-inserted open hole 3 opened in a ceiling part 2 of an ignition furnace to be arranged at the upper part of the ceiling part 2 sandwiching a vertically movable set burner 1 so that the discharge opening of the header 7 may face a gap between the open hole 3 and a nozzle 1. Piping 8 is connected to the header 7, for instance, high temperature air circulated from the mineral outlet part of a sintering machine is guided to set a valve 9 for controlling a quantity of the air therebetween halfway. With the use of such a structure, the high temperature air is enforcedly supplied toward the inside from the outside of the ignition furnace to seal the gap so as to prevent air from entering.
