Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain the application of a peripheral LSI developed for 2n bits by enabling an n-bit processor to give an access to a 2n-bit bus.
CONSTITUTION: The n-bit write data are written into a storage means 2 in two access based on a write command received from an n-bit processor 1. Then the n-bit data are read out of the means 2 in a single access based on a write command received from a command control means 4 and then sent to a 2n-bit data bus 5. When the processor 1 transmits a read command, the 2n-bit data are written into the means 2 in a single access based on a read command received from the means 4. At the same time, the 2n-bit read data are read out of the means 2 in two accesses and then sent to the processor 1.
