FIG. 4 is a sectional view of a main part of a conventional hologram scanner. Holograms 2 and 3 are provided on the bottom slope of a hollow top-shaped rotating body 1, and a reflective Fresnel lens 4 is provided on the internal upper surface to form a hologram rotating body (hereinafter referred to as a holotop) 5, and this holotop 5 is connected to a motor. The laser beam 7 is passed through the slit 9 through the mirror 8 while being rotated by the mirror 6.
The light enters from the holograms 2 and 3 and is alternately diffracted to output the scanning light 10. Re-imaging light (signal scattered light) 11 from the barcode enters the holograms 2 and 3 and is diffracted, and then is focused by a reflective Fresnel lens 4 onto a photodetector 12, where the barcode is read.

In the case of the above configuration, it is necessary to reliably read the extremely weak signal light from the barcode, but in order to obtain the necessary amount of light, the condensing area of the holograms 2 and 3 must be secured to the minimum necessary. There is a need. Therefore, a problem arises in that it is difficult to downsize the holotop in response to the demand for downsizing of hologram scanners.

The present invention provides a hologram scanner that solves the above-mentioned problems, and its means is such that a laser beam incident on the inside of the rotating body is diffracted by a hologram attached to or formed on the rotating body, and the rotating body is rotated. While being emitted to the outside of the body, the emitted light functions as a scanning light for the object to be read by the rotation of the rotating body, and the signal scattered light from the object to be read by the scanning light is collected again by the hologram. A hologram scanner of a type in which light is emitted and guided to a photodetector, wherein the hologram is disposed on the rotating body at a laser beam scanning/reading position in an inclined state with respect to the central axis of rotation, A condensing means for the signal scattered light is also provided on the side surface of the rotary body near the laser beam/reading position, and the signal scattered light transmitted through the hologram and the condensing means is collected inside the rotary body. This is accomplished by a hologram scanner characterized in that it is provided with lens means for guiding the photodetector to the photodetector installed on the rotation center axis outside the rotating body.

Since the hologram scanner has a reimaging light focusing function on the bottom and side surfaces of the holotop, its light focusing area is expanded compared to the conventional case where only the bottom surface is used. Therefore, it is possible to downsize the holotop.

できる。 Next, a method for creating a hologram of the above-mentioned holotop will be explained with reference to FIG. First, as shown in figure a, the side surface of the holotop is covered with a mask 40, and an object beam 41 consisting of a diverging spherical wave and a reference beam 42 consisting of a parallel wave are used.
A hologram 22 is created by the interference, and a hologram 23 is also created in the same manner. Next, as shown in figure b, the hologram 22 is covered with a mask 43, and by using the same object beam 41 of the diverging spherical wave as in figure a and the reference beam 44 consisting of a converging spherical wave, the hologram 22 is
5 is created, and a hologram 26 is also created in the same manner. In this way, the holograms 22, 23 and 2
5,26 can be created. It is also possible to create a holotop by shining three beams, the object beam 41 and the reference beams 42 and 44, onto the holotop at once without using a mask.
