Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of signal lines to output an inferred result, the number of pins for IC formation and the number of circuits for outputting signals to signal lines by setting up the number of signal line to the number of languages to be used for outputting inferred results.
CONSTITUTION: Output values C0 to C2 outputted from a fuzzy antecedent part are converted into seven analog language values. On the other hand, analog switch array 2 extracts the seven language values supplied from the decoder one to seven signal lines. The seven signal lines are connected to an MIN circuit array 3 for discriminating the goodness-of-fit of the antecedent part and fuzzy AND is operated by the MIN circuit 3 to output an inferred result. By using the number of signal lines same as that of languages in the consequent part of the fuzzy controller, the inference results are outputted. Thus, the fuzzy inference result is outputted by using the same number of signal lines as the number of languages to be used in the consequent part of a fuzzy controller.
