Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the overcurrent protection coordinating relationship between the upper and lower breakers to be maintained even in the substantial changeover of a power converting system according to time zone by automatically changing an overcurrent set value given to a comparing means according to a timetable.
CONSTITUTION: Distinction signals of a time zone and whether or not the time zone is in rush hours are input and stored previously in a memory of a memory processing circuit 922 from a key input means 921 of an overcurrent tripping device 9. In running, a processor of the memory processing circuit 922 reads a distinction signal corresponding to the time zone from the memory according to a time output from a timer to generate a set value controlling signal S1 or S2. Thus, a comparation signal output circuit 923 outputs a set value comparing signal according to whether the time zone is in rush hours or not, and a comparation output circuit 930 compares the set value comparing signal with the size of a load current detecting signal to generate an overcurrent tripping command signal.
