Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a compact aligning device with simple structure by identifying the direction of a small part such as a cylindrical vessel, etc. in which one end is opened and another end is blocked with a noncontact type discrimination sensor, and aligning the said part utilizing the blowout of compressed air.
CONSTITUTION: When the vessel delivered from a parts feeder 2 reaches a corresponding delivery opening in a first fitting plate 6 and the delivery opening is in the condition in conformity with one aligning hole 24 of an alignment disk 21, the vessel is pushed into the hole 24. And with the discrimination sensor provided on the plate 6, when the hole 24 which received the vessel conforms to a first and a second transfer holes or prior to conforming following the intermittent rotation of the disk 21, a direction is discriminated in a noncontact type in the axis direction of the vessel, and a discrimination signal is outputted. Here when it is discriminated that the blocked end of the vessel is not positioned to a first nozzle hole side, a direction control valve 32 is opened with a second discrimination signal outputted from the discrimination sensor, and the vessel is discharged from the hole 24 to the inside of a first alignment tube 36.
