Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive the improvement of an etching characteristic and tensile strength altogether by measuring the rate of component elements of aluminum metal refined by a three-phase electrolysis method, an segregation method and the like, adding a specific quantity of Fe, Si and Cu as needed and making an ingot having a specific component composition.
CONSTITUTION: An ingot mass of Fe 0.0013-0.0030%, Si 0.0013-0.0030%, Cu 0.0025-0.0050%, unavoidable impurities 0.0030% or less and the remaining part Al is homogenized to treat at 550-600°C. Next, after hot rolling and cold rolling are performed to obtain a specific thick foil, the surface of the foil is washed and further annealing is performed at 270-380°C. Thus, when the electrolytic capacitor anode aluminum alloy foil is etched, that of high electrostatic capacity and large tensile strength can be obtained.
