Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain low noise by subtracting an addition signal of an output signal of each integration circuit an addition signal of the output signal of each integration circuit from an output of an integration circuit including the integration period for a period obtaining a picture element signal and removing a base band component of the noise.
CONSTITUTION: Outputs of integration circuits 19a-19c are fed to sample circuits 18a-18c, from which an integration signal, and the signal includes various noises such as the base band and a harmonic side band. Thus, the same noise is mixed in an average signal being the result of giving output signals of the circuits 18b, 18c to an arithmetic mean circuit 21. Then the output signal of the circuit 18a and the output signal of the circuit 21 are given to a subtraction circuit 22, from which a difference signal. The frequency characteristic of the base band component and the harmonic side band component of the noise mixed in the difference signal is expressed respectively in a prescribed equation. Since the base band component of the noise is eliminated from the signal obtained from the subtraction circuit 22, low noise processing is applied.
