Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the compensation processing of the electric discharge machining in the title by obtaining a wire guide passage on the basis of the arc radius R of the wire guide passage, which is obtained by (r2+x2)1/2 and performing the electric discharge machining only when the arc of a wire passage is in a smooth contact with blocks before and behind the arc.
CONSTITUTION: Where the arc radius of a wire guide passage 20 is R, the arc radius of a wire passage 10 is r, and the delay of the wire passage 10 from the wire guide passage 20 is x, the wire guide passage 20 is obtained on the basis of the arc radius R of the wire guide passage 20 which is obtained by (r2+x2)1/2. Then electric discharge machining is performed. The electric discharge machining is performed only when the arc of the wire passage 10 is in a smooth contact with blocks before and behind the arc. Consequently, the compensation processing for deformation due to the deflection of a wire 40 generated in an opposite direction to the movement of each wire guide 41, 42 can be facilitated.
