する装置において、エンジンに装架されたターボ
チヤージヤーと、該ターボチヤージヤーとエンジ
ンとの間の新鮮空気管路に設けられた自動調節吐
出し弁14とを有し、 該ターボチヤージヤーは、エンジンの回転数が
定格回転数の半分又はそれに近い回転数のときに
はエンジンの全負荷時における新鮮空気消費量に
相当する量の新鮮空気を排出し、この回転数では
許容可能な最大燃焼最高圧力によつて限定される
圧力比が見られ、前記エンジンの回転数が定格回
転数のときには前記全負荷時における新鮮空気消
費量をその10%未満の値だけ超える新鮮空気を
排出し、 前記自動調節吐出し弁は、圧力を自動的に調整
し、吐出し圧力を許容された最大過剰給気圧力に
調節する、 ことを特徴とするデイーゼルエンジンのトルク
及び煙特性を改善する装置。
