Abstract

PURPOSE: To collect granular substance with high efficiency by providing a high-voltage power source which is capable of realizing the dust collection space of a high electric field and large corona discharge current between a discharge electrode and a dust collecting electrode.
CONSTITUTION: Granular substance is dispersed and supplied to the normal-temp. air sucked by a suction blower 7 via a feed hole 2 from a feeder 1 of granular substance. The formed main gas is introduced into the whole electrostatic precipitator 4. The main gas treated in the electro-static precipitator 4 is passed through the suction blower 7 and discharged to the outside of this system. The dust collecting efficiency is obtained by measuring the concn. of granular substance in both an inlet measuring seat 3 of the concn. of granular substance and an outlet measuring seat 5 thereof, respectively. The flow rate of the main gas is measured by an orifice flowmeter 6. High voltage is impressed to the discharge electrode 8 by a high voltage power source 12. Thereby the electrostatic precipitator drastically is miniaturized.
