Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrolyte of high ion conductivity by obtaining a low glass transition temperature and low crystallinity by means of a bridged polymer containing Si, and dissolving Li salt therein to obtain a polymer electrolyte.
CONSTITUTION: Oligo siloxane halide expressed by the expression I, and polyether glycol expressed by the expression II (; r=5-40), and having an unsaturated group at its end are used and are put in reaction against each other at 20-100°C using octyl acid zinc as catalyst in such a manner that the hydroxide group or unsaturated group provided at the end of the latter is 0.1 to 2 moles or so against 1mole of the SiH group of the former, and thus a grafted material is produced and is further modified and a vinyl group or hydroxide group is introduced at the end of the molecule, and they are put in reaction against each other at 25-100°C for 5-120 minutes so as to produce a bridged polymer. This product has a low glass transition temperature and low crystallinity, and high ion conductivity is obtained when LiBr is dissolved therein by 3 to 20wt% against the polymer to form a polymer electrolyte, and good results are obtained when the electrolyte is used in Li batteries.
