Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a wide range output voltage for an input voltage by providing a switching control means for driving two or more switching elements while shifting the phase then driving the switching elements alternately and reducing the equivalent loss resistance thereby enlarging the limit of boosting ratio.
CONSTITUTION: First and second main switching elements FET(Q1) 50 and FET(Q2) 50' are provided as switching elements, and are driven alternately by the outputs from a controller 500 having phases shifted by 180° each other. Although the duty of Q150, Q250' is lower than 0.5, actual operating frequency can be doubled. By such arrangement, equivalent loss resistance of Q150, Q250' can be reduced and the limit of boosting ratio can be improved.
