Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase number of sound lines without decreasing a frame rate by constituting an apparatus wherein a plurality of sound line signals can be treated in parallel and both smoothing and interpolation treatment can be performed in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A double sound line beam former 3 outputs two sound line signals simultaneously, obtd. to phase detecting parts 4a and 4b, which detect each phase of the sound line signals to detect a Doppler shift and output to CFM treating parts 10 and 20. The CFM treating parts 10 and 20 have each an interpolating part and a smoothing part 14 and 24 and perform smoothing and interpolation treatment in parallel by exchanging mutually sound line data. Therefore, as two sound line signals can be treated in parallel and smoothing and interpolation treatment can be performed in parallel, even if both CFM treating parts have the same operational speed as that of the conventional one, a high speed treatment can be done as a whole and it is possible to increase number of sound lines without decreasing a frame rate.
