In conventional ships (especially small ships),
A throttle is inserted between the engine and the screw to adjust the engine speed, and the engine rotates as it is (hereinafter referred to as normal rotation).
or a rotation in the opposite direction (to move the vessel backwards,
Two control systems are used: one is to convert the rotation speed (hereinafter referred to as reverse) and transmit it to the screw, and the other is a clutch to disconnect the engine and screw (hereinafter referred to as neutral). However, under normal operating conditions, the throttle opening can only be increased when the clutch is rotating forward or reverse, and when switching the clutch, it is necessary to close the throttle and lower the engine speed. If the configuration is such that the throttle opening can be adjusted by switching the clutch with a single operating lever and then rotating the operating lever further in the direction in which it was switched, it would be convenient for the driver. This is convenient because both systems can be controlled with one lever without having to worry about the relationship between the respective operation systems. For example, the one shown in Fig. 8 is known as a marine engine control device that can switch the clutch and adjust the opening of the throttle using a single lever (Utility Application No. 106311/1989). (Refer to Utility Model Application Publication No. 54-32496).

The engine control device shown in FIG. 8 configured in this manner controls clutch switching (area L in FIG. 8) and throttle opening adjustment (area M in FIG. 8) according to the rotational position of the main lever 52. ) can be operated with a single lever. However, when operating the throttle with the clutch in the neutral state for idling (warming up) the engine, the connection between the main drive member 53 and the drive gear 56 is released and the main drive gear 56 is disconnected. In order to rotate only the throttle arm 62 when the lever 52 is rotated, it is necessary to rearrange the control systems, so to speak, and the interlock between the control systems becomes complicated. It is also conceivable to provide another operating lever and rotate only the throttle arm by operating that lever, but this also requires breaking the series of links from the main lever to the throttle cable at some point and It is necessary to reassemble the control system by connecting another operating lever to the throttle arm, and there is a drawback that the overall configuration becomes extremely complicated.

Therefore, the inventor of the present invention has eliminated the above-mentioned drawbacks, and has made it possible to operate the clutch and the throttle during forward and reverse operations with a single lever, as well as to easily operate only the throttle during idling. As a result of intensive research aimed at providing an engine control device with fewer points, we have found that under normal operating conditions, the fulcrum of rotation of the throttle arm is aligned with the fulcrum of rotation of the clutch driven gear, and the throttle arm is rotated at idle during idle operation. We discovered the new fact that by moving the fulcrum of the rotation of the arm, it is possible to lock the clutch driven gear and move the tip of the throttle arm without breaking the link chain of any operating system. We have now completed the present invention.

Although the above embodiment can be applied to a marine engine in which the throttle valve opens when the throttle cable 18 is pushed, it is also applicable to a marine engine in which the throttle valve opens when the throttle cable 18 is pulled. As shown in FIG. 7, the throttle actuating plate 1 of the throttle arm 19
1 (position of pin B27) with pin A2
This can be easily handled by changing the position to be symmetrical with respect to 0. That is, in the device of the present invention, the throttle actuating plate 11 of the throttle arm 19 is configured so that it can be mounted inverted (for example, the shaft of the throttle actuating roller 10 is provided on both sides of the throttle actuating plate 11), and the throttle actuating plate 11 of the throttle arm 19 is The pivot position of the throttle arm 19 and the throttle arm support plate 14 (pin A20 in the embodiment of FIG. 1) is almost symmetrical with respect to the pivot position of the throttle arm 19 and the throttle arm support plate 14 (pin A20 in the embodiment of FIG. 1). It is preferable that the engine is formed in two locations, so that it can be adapted to both types of marine engines as appropriate on the spot. Note that in the device of the present invention, the throttle actuating plate 11 may be made symmetrical with respect to the line X-X in FIG. 1 and two engagement holes with the pin B27 may be provided, as in the conventional device shown in FIG. However, in consideration of the movement of the pin A20 and the engagement with the locking groove 30, the above-mentioned embodiment in which it can be reversed is preferable.

Furthermore, in the marine engine control device of the present invention, the clutch drive gear 12 is divided into two parts in the thickness direction, and one side has a regular tooth profile up to the outer teeth, and the other side has a regular tooth profile. The clutch drive gear 21 is formed by forming the teeth so that they have a regular tooth profile up to the inner part (32 in FIG. 4a) and extend outward in the circumferential direction from the tip of the tooth to form the clutch sliding surface 13 as it is. It is divided into two parts in the thickness direction, and on one side, the inner part of the outer teeth is formed into a regular tooth shape, and on the other side, the outer teeth are formed short to form the lock surface 24. is preferred. When the clutch driving gear 12 and the clutch driven gear 21 are formed by overlapping parts having two functions, the clutch sliding surface 13 and the locking surface 24 can be separated from each other depending on the meshing state of the gears.
When transitioning to the sliding state or in the opposite direction, the change in rotational speed of the driven gear can be minimized.
